Celebrity chef Mike Isabella is opening his first Maryland restaurant March 7 with Kapnos Kouzina, another location of the Greek restaurant concept Isabella has in partnership with chef George Pagonis. The team also has Kapnos on 14th Street NW in D.C. and Kapnos Taverna in Arlington’s Ballston neighborhood.

The 5,200-square-foot restaurant is located at 4900 Hampden Lane in Bethesda Row, and will serve a more homestyle, “Sunday dinner-style” Greek cuisine, according to a statement from Isabella’s restaurant group, Mike Isabella Concepts. The Bethesda restaurant is just one of several projects the chef has in the works: he just announcedIsabella Eatery headed for Tysons Galleria, and also plans a Kapnos at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, among other restaurants.
